AUTHORISED ZANE DEALER SINCE 1979
Zane Gulfstream System: The Proven Workhorse of Adelaide Pool Heating
The Zane Gulfstream is the most widely installed solar pool heating collector in South Australia and the market standard recommendation for standard residential pools. As authorised Zane dealers, Beasley Pool Heating has installed thousands of Gulfstream systems across SA since 1979.
They are robust polymer TPR collectors engineered for Australian sun and salt, paired with intelligent controllers. Available as a fully installed system or as a DIY kit in five sizes (18, 22, 28, 33 and 40sqm), shipped Australia-wide.
THE WORKHORSE COLLECTOR
Who the Zane Gulfstream is right for
The Gulfstream is Zane's bread-and-butter collector, the system we recommend for the majority of Adelaide residential pools. It's the right choice when you've got the roof space, you want proven performance, and you don't need the premium output of the Gulfpanel.
Gulfstream is right for you if:
You have available north, east or west-facing roof space
Enough roof area to fit a collector area roughly equal to your pool's surface area. North-facing is ideal; east and west work with slightly more area.

You want proven performance at a sensible price
The Gulfpanel costs more per square metre for higher output. If you have the roof, the Gulfstream is usually the better value choice.
You have a standard residential pool
Family-sized backyard pool, lap pool or plunge pool. The Gulfstream sizes accommodate most residential pools.
You're considering DIY
The Gulfstream is the only Zane collector available as a DIY kit, with full instructions and phone support from Beasley. We'll help customise the shape for your specific roof.

HOW IT WORKS
How the Zane Gulfstream system works
The Gulfstream operates on the same simple principle as all Zane TPR systems, but it's worth understanding what's actually happening if you're considering installing one (especially DIY).
1. Pool water is pumped through the solar collectors
As it passes through the Gulfstream tubes on your roof, the water is heated by solar radiation.
2. Your pool pump (or a booster pump) drives the circulation
For most residential installs, your existing pool pump does the work. Larger systems may need a dedicated booster pump.
3. The smart controller decides when to run
Roof sensor plus pool sensor plus smart controller means no manual operation. The system only runs when it'll actually add heat. If the roof's not hot enough, the system stays off and pool circulation continues normally.
4. Heated water returns to the pool
The warmed water flows back through your return lines into the pool, lifting the temperature a little on every pass through the collectors.
5. The system runs for decades
Zane TPR collectors are designed for a 25-year service life. We're servicing systems we installed in the late 1990s.

What does a Gulfstream system cost?
Two ways to buy, fully installed or as a DIY kit...
The Gulfstream operates on the same simple principle as all Zane TPR systems, but it's worth understanding what's actually happening if you're considering installing one (especially DIY).
Fully Installed System
Cost is driven by collector area (roughly equal to your pool's surface area), roof complexity, plumbing run and any required electrical work. We provide free fixed-price onsite quotes.
DIY Kit
Fixed pricing per size, substantially cheaper than an installed system because you provide the labour. Shipping included Australia-wide. The lowest total cost option if you're handy and your roof suits solar.
WE HAVE THE ANSWERS
Zane Gulfstream FAQs
Gulfstream is the proven market leader, the most common recommendation for standard residential pools with available roof space. Gulfpanel is the premium high-output option, designed for installations where roof space is limited, maximum output per square metre matters, and wildlife protection is a necessity. Both deliver excellent solar pool heating; the right choice depends on your specific install.
The general rule in Adelaide: collector area roughly equal to your pool's surface area. So a 7m x 3m pool (21sqm of water) wants a 22sqm kit. Your solar system should be 100% of your pool's surface area. Use our solar sizing calculator or call us to confirm.
The Gulfstream absorber comes in a 50m roll, or multiple rolls depending on the size of your system. You also receive all fittings, connectors, mounting hardware, the vacuum relief valve, and full step-by-step installation instructions. Plus phone and email support from Beasley during your install.
Zane TPR collectors are designed for a 25-year service life. Beasley routinely services Gulfstream systems installed in the late 1990s. Lifespan depends on conditions. Coastal salt air or extreme hail can shorten it, but most systems comfortably reach 20 years or more.
Zane TPR systems are installed successfully on tile, Colorbond, metal deck and most common roof types in South Australia. We assess your specific roof during the free onsite quote.
Most metro Adelaide installs are completed in a single day by Beasley's team. DIY installs typically take a weekend, depending on complexity and how experienced you are.
Yes. We service all Zane systems regardless of whether we installed them. Our Beverley warehouse stocks Zane parts. We aim for a 48 to 72 hour response time for any servicing or repairs. This is determined case by case by weather and peak summer season.

Keep Up the Great Work Guys
"Five stars for Henry and his team. They were great right from the process of provide quote (best price), site visit, equipment installation (modified their standard process to suit my property’s requirements at no extra cost) and, more importantly providing prompt after sales-service.
Everyone was punctual, respectful in behaviour and super helpful with general maintenance tips and advice. Keep up the great work guys."
