AUTHORISED GUARDIAN DEALER
Guardian Pool Heat Pumps, Extended Swimming Season and Year-Round Heating for Adelaide Pools
Guardian Pool Heat Pumps are inverter-driven pool heating units designed to extend your swimming season up to 8 months, or run year-round if sized correctly. As authorised Guardian dealers, Beasley Pool Heating installs the complete Guardian range across South Australia, from the value for performance Eco Pro through to the premium Lux V.
Modern Guardian inverter heat pumps extract heat from the surrounding ambient air and deliver 4 to 6 units of heat per unit of electricity consumed. They can heat your pool reliably down to an ambient air temperature of around 5°C. They're backed by Beasley's in-house service team with parts in stock at our Beverley warehouse.
THE GUARDIAN RANGE
Who Guardian pool heat pumps are right for
Guardian heat pumps are the right choice when you need reliable heat regardless of conditions, whether that's winter swimming, indoor pools, or any pool where solar isn't an option. Here's specifically who suits each Guardian range.
The Guardian range suits you if you:
Need year-round pool operation
The main reason customers choose a heat pump. Guardian units can reliably continue heating your pool down to an ambient air temperature of around 5°C.

Have home solar PV already
Running a Guardian heat pump during daylight hours from your home's solar PV system makes it dramatically cheaper to run, often effectively free.
Don't have suitable roof space for solar
Your roof space is too small, is fully shaded, or there are structural concerns. A heat pump sits at ground level and needs no roof.
Want precise temperature control
Heat pumps maintain a set target temperature. The inverter technology lets the unit vary how hard it runs to hold a consistent temperature. Set and forget, with less energy consumption.

Let's TALK SYSTEMS
What's in the Guardian heat pump range?
Three ranges, all inverter-driven, from everyday family pools through to premium installs and commercial applications.
Guardian Eco Pro Range (value for performance)
The recommendation for most family pools. Full titanium inverter operation, strong real world efficiency (COP 14.5), intelligent LCD touch screen, WIFI connected, remote monitoring, and a price point that works for standard residential installs. The everyday workhorse of the Guardian lineup.
Guardian Lux V Range (premium residential)
The premium tier. Full titanium inverter, ultra-quiet operation, cold climate engineering with COP 14.5, LCD touch screen, WIFI connected, remote monitoring. For owners who want the best of what's available. For commercial pools we install Guardian heat pumps in multi-unit banks, see our Commercial Pool Heating page.
EVERY INSTALL INCLUDES
What's in every Beasley Guardian installation
A Guardian install from Beasley is a complete system, not just a unit dropped beside the pool. Here is what every Guardian installation includes, whichever range you choose.

HOW IT WORKS
How a Guardian heat pump works
A pool heat pump doesn't generate heat, it moves heat from the air into your pool. That's why it's so efficient. Here's the cycle step by step.
1. The fan draws ambient air across an evaporator coil
Even cold-looking air contains usable heat energy. The evaporator coil contains refrigerant that boils at a very low temperature.
2. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the air and turns to gas
The gas is then drawn into the compressor.
3. The compressor compresses the gas, raising its temperature
This is where the energy input from electricity goes, into compression, not heat generation.
4. Hot refrigerant gas passes through a heat exchanger
Pool water flows past the heat exchanger and absorbs the heat. The refrigerant cools, condenses back to liquid, and starts the cycle again.
5. Heated pool water returns to the pool
Run continuously, the heat pump gradually warms the pool to your set temperature, then maintains it.

WHAT DRIVES THE COST
What does a Guardian heat pump cost?
Heat pump pricing has more variables than solar: unit size, range (Eco Pro vs Lux V), electrical requirements and plumbing complexity. Here's what drives the cost.

WE HAVE THE ANSWERS
Guardian heat pump FAQs
Eco Pro is the everyday workhorse and value for performance. Full inverter operation, strong efficiency, and a price point that works for standard residential installs. Lux V is the premium tier, with full inverter operation, ultra-quiet running, and hardware built for harsher environments that carries the unit through cold snaps and frigid conditions. Both deliver reliable heating and come in different footprints depending on the space you have; the Lux V is for owners who want the best of what's available.
Modern Guardian inverter heat pumps deliver 4 to 6 units of heat per unit of electricity (COP 14.5). This means for every $1 of electricity, you're getting around $4 to $6 worth of heat into your pool, dramatically more efficient than electric resistance heating or older gas systems.
Yes. Guardian inverter heat pumps continue to extract heat from ambient air down to around 5°C. Output drops as temperature falls, but if sized correctly, they will maintain a covered residential pool at swimming temperature through Adelaide winter. Year round swimming should be discussed as a desired outcome.
Inverter operation makes Guardian units significantly quieter than older fixed-speed heat pumps. The Lux V range has sound-dampening fans for ultra-quiet operation, important for installs close to neighbouring properties or bedrooms.
Yes, and many customers choose them specifically for this. Running the heat pump during daylight hours from your home's solar PV system uses excess generation that would otherwise export to the grid for minimal feed-in tariff. Effectively free year-round heating.
A well-maintained Guardian inverter heat pump in Adelaide conditions can typically last up to 15 years. Routine servicing, water chemistry, and protection from coastal salt air on coastal installs are the main longevity factors.
Guardian heat pumps carry their full manufacturer warranty. Beasley also backs its installation workmanship directly. Specific terms are confirmed during the quote and provided in writing.

ECO PRO VS LUX V
Eco Pro vs Lux V, direct comparison
Both Guardian ranges are full inverter units with the same LCD touch screen controller. The Lux V adds cold climate hardware and ultra-quiet operation at a premium price. Here is how they line up.
