No specific noise constraint

The Eco Pro runs quietly enough for most residential settings. If you're installing right next to a bedroom or neighbouring property, consider the Lux V's ultra-quiet operation.

A reasonable equipment pad space

Standard footprint, single unit. Set beside your existing pool pump and filter.

A balanced budget

Lower upfront cost than the Lux V. A great choice when the cold climate engineering isn't a necessity.

HOW IT WORKS

How the Guardian Eco Pro operates

Eco Pro is the value for performance pool heat pump, manufactured with strong and reliable real world efficiency. Here is the cycle step by step.

1. Ambient air drawn across the evaporator

The fan pulls air through the unit. Refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat from the air.

2. Inverter compressor concentrates the heat

The inverter compressor adjusts its speed to match the heating demand, running at lower speed when topping up, higher when heating from cold.

3. Heat exchanger transfers heat into the pool water

Pool water flowing through the heat exchanger absorbs the concentrated heat from the refrigerant.

4. Heated water returns to the pool

Run continuously, the Eco Pro brings your pool to set temperature and maintains it.

5. Inverter modulation, efficient maintenance

Once at temperature, the unit runs at reduced output to maintain heat with minimal energy use.

WHAT DRIVES THE COST

What does a Guardian Eco Pro cost?

Eco Pro is the value for performance offering in the Guardian range, priced for everyday residential installs. Here is what drives the cost, and what it costs to run.

eco-pro-13-compact-installation Large.jpeg

Unit size (kW)

Bigger pools need higher capacity units. Most family pools (40 to 60kL) suit the 13 to 17kW range.
eco-pro-11-running-cost-priority Large.jpeg

Plumbing complexity

Straightforward for most installs: a connection into your existing pool circulation beside the pump and filter.
eco-pro-15-faq Large.jpeg

Electrical work

Upgrade of a powerpoint for the smaller heat pump units or hardwiring for the larger units. Larger units may require their own dedicated circuits.
eco-pro-10-adelaide-family-pools Large.jpeg

Running cost guide

$30 to $80 per week to maintain swimming temperature on a covered residential pool in Adelaide shoulder seasons; more in winter.
eco-pro-12-all-electric-homes Large.jpeg

Solar PV ready

Running a heat pump during the day from home solar PV can effectively eliminate running cost. Our entire range has a "Solar PV Ready" feature allowing connectivity between our Guardian Heat Pumps and Solar PV Smart inverter boards.

What we'll never do: quote a fixed price without checking your pool volume and electrical supply first.

We size the unit, check your switchboard and equipment pad, and give you one fixed price that includes any electrical or plumbing work. No surprises on install day.

WE HAVE THE ANSWERS

Guardian Eco Pro FAQs

  • The Eco Pro range covers most residential pool sizes, from small plunge pools through to large family pools. We size the right unit during the free onsite quote based on your pool volume, target temperature and usage.

  • Eco Pro is the everyday side air discharge workhorse. It has a titanium full inverter, strong efficiency, DC compressor, colour LCD Screen, quiet operation and UV stabilised ABS plastic. Lux V is the premium tier unit, engineered with a compact footprint for cold climates and vertical cold air discharge instead. For most family pools, the Eco Pro is the right choice; the Lux V makes sense when noise and cold is a constraint or premium spec is the brief.

  • Quiet enough for most residential installs, and modern inverter operation is significantly quieter than the older fixed-speed heat pumps. If you're installing right next to a bedroom or neighbouring property and noise is a concern, consider the Lux V's ultra-quiet operation.

  • Yes. With the right evaluation the Eco Pro continues extracting heat from ambient air down to around 5°C, and will maintain a covered residential pool at swimming temperature through Adelaide winter. Please discuss with Beasley Pool Heating to find out your desired swimming season.

  • A well-maintained Eco Pro inverter heat pump in Adelaide conditions typically lasts up to 15 years. Regular servicing and good water chemistry are the main longevity factors.

  • Guardian's full manufacturer warranty applies to the Eco Pro range. 25 year inverter warranty and 5 year compressor warranty. Beasley also backs the installation workmanship directly. Specific terms are confirmed during the quote.

  • Yes. Running the Eco Pro during the day from your home solar PV can effectively eliminate running cost. The entire Guardian range has a "Solar PV Ready" feature allowing connectivity between the heat pump and Solar PV Smart inverter boards, and the colour LCD lets you schedule heating to coincide with solar generation.
