SPEAK TO THE EXPERTS IN SOLAR POOL HEATING
Solar Pool Heating in Adelaide. Authorised Zane Dealer Since 1979
Solar pool heating uses roof-mounted collectors to heat your pool water using the sun, which extends the Adelaide swimming season by 7 to 8 months for almost no running cost. Beasley Pool Heating is South Australia's authorised Zane dealer, with more than 20,000 systems installed across SA since 1979.
We use either their industry-leading Zane TPR (thermoplastic rubber) soft matting collector, or a precision injection-moulded, high-grade hard-bodied polymer panel. Both carry a 25-year design life. Free onsite consultations across metro Adelaide. Most installs completed in a single day.

IS SOLAR RIGHT FOR YOU?
Who Solar Pool Heating Is Right for
Solar pool heating isn't the right answer for every pool. It is the right answer for most pools, in most situations, where there's enough roof space. Here's who it works for and who it doesn't.
Solar is the right choice if you have:
A 10-15 year mindset
Zane TPR systems are designed for 25 years. The upfront cost makes sense when you spread it across that lifespan.

A pool you want cheap to run long-term
The running cost is essentially the pool pump you'd be running anyway. No electricity bill for the heating itself.
An "extended swimming season" goal
If you'd be happy extending your swimming season from late September through to the start of April, solar will do the job for the lowest running cost.
Sun-facing roof space
You'll need roughly the same area of roof space as your pool's surface area, ideally north-facing, though east and west work just as well. South-facing roofs work too, but we'd recommend enlarging the collector to make up for the fact it only gets indirect sunlight.
Solar probably isn't the right choice if you have:
Unsuitable roof
If your roof is fully shaded by trees or surrounding structures, or there isn't enough usable area, a heat pump is your answer.
Year-round swim requirements
Solar depends on the weather, and it can't carry an Adelaide pool through the winter period if that's what you want. You'll need a heat pump (or a hybrid) if that's your goal.

THE PROCESS
Our Solar Installation Process
Every Beasley solar pool heating installation follows the same process. The whole thing typically runs 1 to 3 weeks from initial enquiry to a warm pool, depending on quote scheduling and your timing.
Enquiry and initial assessment: Online form or phone call. Pool size, location, roof type. Takes about two minutes. We'll answer any questions you have.
Free onsite consultation if required:
We come to you. Given our experience, we can build the majority of quotes from aerial photography and a few photos of your pool equipment sent via email. Depending on the complexity of your install, and only if it's needed, we'll schedule a site visit and discuss your goals.
Detailed written quote:
Within 1 to 2 business days of the consultation, we'll provide a fixed-price and itemised quote. Includes collector area, PC5 Solar Controller, sensors, plumbing and labour.
Installation:
We'll typically complete this within 1 day of accepting your quote for metro residential jobs. Always by our own team. Single-day install for most residential systems. We schedule around your availability and aim for minimal disruption to your home.
Commissioning and handover:
We start the system, set the controller, walk you through how it operates, and leave you with documentation. From this point forward, the system runs itself.

WHAT DRIVES THE COST?
What Does Solar Pool Heating Cost in Adelaide?

What we'll never do: Quote a fixed price over the phone or add hidden costs after we're done.
We'll always do our best to foresee all costs and price you accordingly. We'll also never push you toward a more expensive system without explaining why it's recommended for your situation. We're here to help you.
WE HAVE THE ANSWERS
Solar Pool Heating FAQs
Cost depends on your pool's surface area and the corresponding collector area you'll need. As a guide, a 10m x 4m pool needs roughly 40sqm of solar collectors plus controller, plumbing and installation. Beasley provides free fixed-price quotes, so call (08) 8349 4333 or request one online.
A correctly sized solar pool heating system in Adelaide typically raises pool temperature by 6 to 10°C above what the pool would naturally reach. In practice, that means a comfortable swim from late September through to early April rather than just December to February.
Solar pool heating works whenever the sun is on the roof. In Adelaide's winter, output drops significantly. If you want year-round swimming, you'll need a heat pump or a hybrid solar and heat pump system.
Zane solar pool heating systems are installed successfully on tile, Colorbond, metal deck and most other common roof types in South Australia. We assess your specific roof before recommending the install.
Just your existing pool pump (or a small booster pump on some systems). There's no additional energy used to heat the water, that's free, from the sun. Most owners see a marginal increase in pump-related electricity use, which is easily offset by the pool heating delivered.
Zane TPR collectors have a design life of up to 25 years and we routinely service systems we installed in the late 1990s. Like any outdoor product, lifespan depends on conditions. Coastal salt air or extreme hail can shorten it, but most systems comfortably reach 20 years or more.
Yes. We supply Zane Gulfstream DIY kits in five sizes for hands-on owners. The kit comes with all the equipment you need plus full installation instructions. Our team is available by phone and email during your install.

"Five stars for Henry and his team. They were great right from the process of provide quote (best price), site visit, equipment installation (modified their standard process to suit my property’s requirements at no extra cost) and, more importantly providing prompt after sales-service.
Everyone was punctual, respectful in behaviour and super helpful with general maintenance tips and advice. Keep up the great work guys."
